1965 corvette Big Block Negative Battery Cable

Where does the Battery ground cable connect on a 1965 corvette 396/425. I have it on the engine block, I was told it went on starter.
    HELP!!!

    Brenton,
since your battery is located on the driver side, the negative cable goes to the bell housing. (You should have 2 j-hooks very close together, below, near the column mount.) Your cable should be routed from the battery post through the lower of the 2 j-hooks and from there to the bell housing. (the upper j-hook is used for the positive cable.) Check the AIM for reference.
    Hope this helps.
    Marco

Might add that the AIM reference is found in the air conditioning [C60] section, which is essentially the same as for the L78, with respect to many firewall area items.

Then the question is "to which bellhousing bolt does the ground cable connection attach" ? Looking at the AIM (C60), it seems to point to the lower of 2 bolts on the driver side; the one just above the clutch fork rod. But when you come to install, it aligns more easily to the top bolt, for both air and BB cars. Opinions welcome .

As Wayne has indicated above for the connection. Dan K.
