64 air car battery

I need a battery in my 64 auto/air car. I'm tired of buying the restoration style batteries, paying the big bucks, and then a substantial deduct anyway. Does anyone know the size, or I guess the correct quesion would be group size of the battery that fits my car. I think I am going to just buy a current delco of the proper group/size so it fits the tray properly

just tell the delco dealer you want a delco battery for your 64. its readily available . you are making the right choice. . good luck,mike

The one I have been using with good service is ACD24-60. Fits the tray nicely in my 65. I don't have A/C, so do not know if fit would be the same on your car, but suspect so.

Don I use the Delco Professional battery in 3 of my Corvettes. I opted for the 7 year type which has a 50 month free replacement. My oldest Delco Professional 7 year battery was installed in 3-15-2002 and it worked fine today when I drove my 68 Corvette. I do disconnect my batterys neg cable if the car is not going to be driven for a week or more and charge my batterys when I think it is necessary if they are not being used. I do not use battery tenders because I don't like leaving something plugged into an outlet for weeks and months.
