Pacific Corvette; are they still in business?

Has Pacific Corvette gone out of business? They used to be a good source for used C2 parts.

Yes they are. Wa. I assume. There is another one in Oregon Jim is his name. They were at the Puyallup swap meet last month.
    Hope this helps.

      Grant,

Their URL used to be http://www.pacvette.com/, but that doesn't work anymore. Any idea if they have a website now?

As far as I know Bill and Bob owners of Pac Vette in Wa retired, they sold off the body shop and repair shop.

I wonder what happened to their inventory of used parts. Long gone on e-bay maybe.

They are/were a local Corvette place that very few locals went to. Their prices were ridiculous, their repair work was questionable and the parts were marginal at best. Even though they were 10 miles from my house, I never bought a single part from them. I know of many who went there and were sorry the did. Good riddance.

              Jim,

I guess there's a good reason some places go out of business.

                  John,

How is their inventory being sold off? As a private, bulk sale?

I was at the store the the first of March and they were closing, Bill was willing to sell any or all of the used inventory at very fair prices, lots of C3 and C4 parts, they were all inventoried in boxes with GM part numbers for ID............Thanks JOHN

I was looking for a NOS 66 oil pan from them a few years a go and after a phone call I was told that some one had gone back and checked inventory and they had none. About two weeks later after I had put my original back on and buttoned up the car I got a call from them that they had found "It" in the wrong box and wanted to know if I still wanted it. I got that pan from them for $128.00 and it is still in the box today. I always checked with them after that when I was looking for used or original parts.

From someone who lists a wing nut on E-Bay for $100.

                          Jim,
I've bought a lot of bolts and small parts from John on and off ebay and have never paid an unreasonable price. Now for the idiots out there, what can you say, I have seen those $100. plus wing nuts and wondered what are these people thinking but I'm sure I would be taking their money just like John is. Nobody is twisting anybodies arm on ebay!

It's one thing to list it at $10 and see where it goes but his recent listing has a STARTING price of $100 for a freekin' wing nut. No wonder he liked Pacific Corvettes prices. I called Bob A. @ Pacific Corvette looking for a C-3 radio. His price for a radio without knobs, amplifier, cut harness and didn't know if it worked was $350. I went to another local Corvette supplier and got everything WITH a warranty for $150. Wonder why they went out of business????

When I see a part listed at what I think is an unreasonably too-high price, I simply go onto the next listings, and shop elsewhere.

I'm failing to see the harm in someone setting their own prices....
