'65 Heater Hose Routing Help Needed

I removed the R/F exhaust manifold that P/O "Bubba" retrofit with various brackets and spacers. I installed the correct manifold but noticed that the way the heater hose is routed is very tight and slightly touching the manifold. What is the correct length of the heater hose and does someone have a photo of the correct heater hose routing? Below are photos' of what I have done so far. I will have to get a shorter belt as it is adjusted all the way out. Thanks, Larry

Larry -- there's a clip/bracket that bolts to the alternator mount bracket. This holds the 2 hoses together and keeps them down and away from the exh. manifold. If you hav a '65 AIM, you can find the routing on UPC 1 ASM, Sheet E6.

Neither of my '65s has the configuration that you need; one is a big block [manifolds different; hoses held by bracket/clip to the inner fender] and the other is an air-conditioned small block {bracket/clip holds hoses against inner fender opposite rear of compressor, and special bracket holds heater hoses under the front of the compressor}.

On my 65 365 hp car

you can see the small threaded hole in your bracket just ahead of the rear bolt maybe 1.5"

              Larry,

Here are pics of my 67 showing the correct routing of the heater hoses. The 67 does not have the hose bracket and alternator mounting like 65 but the hose routing is the same.

Note how the hoses look coming out of the heater core, this is done to keep the one hose from being to close the the exhaust manifold.
