exhaust manifol install

I finally got my motor back from the builder !!! I went to my 66 Aim to see how the exhaust manifolds were attached and found nothing. I think a lot of the info was a carry over from 65 , when they still came with the engine.

So can anybody provide me with a copy of a 67 AIM where they show how ,and what eles is attached to each bolt , so I don't have to keep redoing them as I go . For example , where does the double threaded stud go , what order are the bolts ,washers, and french locks in ?

As an aside to that, are the washers really that special or can I get them at any Hardware store as I have none

As to the details , it is an 66 L79 with A/C, Radio , and Power steering if that means anything.

I stand corrected, I does show it in the U-69 section of my AIM. Thanks for the heads up. It was late and I was tired !

I also think I found the Double stud location , it is the first hole on the front passenger side . Is this Correct ?

Lastly, are the washers all that special, (ie. $7.95 @ CC )or even visable once everything is together , as I found none when I removed the manifolds and thus have nothing to compare them to...................

Those washers are "specials" - they're .170"-.180" thick.

Jim..I don't know about the stud, no stud on a 67. Yes the washers are visable and are special. They are used so the bolt doesn't bottom out..Bill
