Agreed. Joe hit the nail on the head.
Steel valve covers are worth about 1/4 what the aluminum ones are, and the ratio with intakes is probably similar.
Right now you've got a very sharp car which will drive well. Unless you want to spend a bunch of $ on it, I'd leave it alone and drive it. The vast majority of people that see the car will never know it's not 100% correct as all the underhood parts + side exhaust appear correct. And, they can't see the transmission.
