Vin # 00006 65 vette owner needing historical help

I Had NCRS give me the Shipping Data report and It turned out to be dealer code 502 in Zone 0, Chevrolet Engineering, MI. I want to uncover more info on my car and would like some input on what direction to go. Vin # 194375s100006 body s4 . Thanks, Anthony 520-990-7932

    Anthony -

With a VIN that low, it was most likely a Pilot car, ordered by Engineering for evaluation. How long have you owned it, and do you know the previous owner?

Also, Jerry Bramlett seems to know a bit about the first few 1965 cars. You may want to contact him as well.

I have a note in my files - that I do not KNOW the source of - that indicates that "502" =s the Desert Proving Grounds - can anyone verify that as correct?

I believe 008 and 009 were both Nassau Blue fuelies. Martin Tait is currently restoring 009 and would be worth talking to. Jim Gessner also has some info on these early cars. Good luck
