    '72 350 Q-Jet carb gasket thickness?

    the gasket between my carb and manifold appears to be ~3/16" or so thick.

    Is this normal?

    If not, what would be normal thickness?

      That sounds about right for the GM #3998912 insulator gasket. You can obtain a GM replacement for that very insulator gasket under GM #10069984.
