I'm trying to determine which editon owners manual is correct for my 62 #2262. Should I have a first edition for this serial number?
Also is there a source for original hood support bolts for this car? I need the dished hex head with a "U" inside of concentric circles and an integral washer. Thanks Rich

1962 owners mauals do not have any months and/or dates on them. There is no sure way to know when the changeover occurred so common sense must apply. Early cars need a first edition, mid production cars could use first or second and later cars will need a second edition. Nobody can give you VIN changeovers so my suggestion is; first 30% +/- of production uses a first edition, from 30% to 70% +/- uses either edition and last 30% +/- uses second edition.
