Was the putty placed in the upper door hole covered with anything other than paint?

On the Hard Trim Line, after installing the post on the door, way past the end of the Paint Shop.

So, the door post was put on and tightened, the hole was sealed and the w/strip was applied. Adjustment to the w/shield frame using the bottom bolt came after the w/strip was applied. Getting pretty picky here but and doing that now on 9372 and was curious.
