    Drive shaft ?

I pulled my drive shaft ( doing a rear end and rear suspension rebuild). I replaced the U Joints in the half shafts, used Delco joints without grease fittings. It said to pack the bearing before installing, which I did. Should I pack the drive shaft U Joints, since I have it out. They also do not have grease fitting. I installed them about 4 years ago. Thanks Bob

    Re: Drive shaft ?

Bob, I would say you maybe only able to put grease in the two end caps, When they they don't have grease fittings there is no cross drilling in the joint so the other two caps won't be greased, if you have the shaft already out just replace the other joints 4 year old joints the grease may have dryed up by now.

If you installed new joints with new grease four years ago in your drive shaft they should be fine unlees you have put over 50,000 mile on your car in the kast four years.
