Does anyone know the approx number of 435 HP cars built in 1968?
Also 435 HP for 1967 vs. 1968?

1967: L71 = 3,754, L89 = 16
1968: L71 = 2,898, L89 = 624

John there is a publication that you might enjoy as it has a lot of information on Corvettes from 1953 to current production. The Corvette Black Book is updated each year with new Corvette information by Mike Antonick.
The Black Book has two pages for each year of Corvette production and is available from the NCRS Store.

Thanks for all the info. It does apear that maybe the 68 435HP cars may be more rare than the touted 67's. I have found a nice one and am considering the purchase.

Don't confuse "rare" with "desireable".

There is a saying about that, but this is a G rated site.
