Clem As you know road racing throws a car around pretty severly. do you know of a spring loaded float that would work in a rochester FI? Jerry

On behave of my pal Clem let me tell you old JD never heard of such a float.
The beauty of the FI unit Jerry is they are great for auto-crossing and road racing. The float should not be an issue.
Now the float can be an issue if it's wore out. Meaning if the holes are elongated where the float pin goes thru then you will have problems.
Now to wait for Clems response.

i was referring to a "spring loaded needle/seat combo" not a float. they were made for 4 cylinder engines because of the vibrations but worked good for racing. i will post a picture if i can find one.

here it is,a spring loaded needle/seat. the spring and rod go inside the needle with the tip of the rod sticking out for the float to rest on
