Where is the correct location for the Irving Air Chute label on a 1960 Corvette seat belt? This would be for the side with the female buckle.

Following are pictures of my 1960 belt just back from restoration. If you pull the female coupling tight on the belt then measure 21 inchs back along the length of the belt, that is where they attached mine.

Thanks for the pictures. My original seat belt is missing the label but I could see the outline of the stitching. I did not realize that the label was that far from the buckle.

If it wasn't you couldn't tighten the belt.

From the picture it looks like the label is on the top side of the belt (always thought they should be on the underside). Is that how it is or I am just viewing this wrong?

Following are more pictures showing that the labels face your body when the seat belt is on. This is the way Ssnake-Oyl applied them.

Anybody with an original that can confirm proper placement?
