    Clutch question

Replaced the clutch on my original '65 396 about 300 miles ago. Nothing cosmic, pretty much a stock replacement. Whenever I put a load on the clutch; for example climbing up into the car hauler or just backing up onto car stands last week, there was a STRONG "burning clutch" smell. When I drive "straight and level" I don't smell it and it is not slipping. Just when I put a load on it is when it smells.
Do I need another "stronger" clutch?

First, are you sure it's adjusted properly? You must have at least a little free play in the pedal or the clutch will not be engaged properly.

      Hi Steve,

Do you have a car for sale on Driveline?
      I think a 65 Corvette.

      Let me know,
