Is the correct finish for 1967 corvette tie rod tube black painted and the relay rod and tie rod ends natural non painted?

Yes the tie rod tube is painted black. It is not gloss, little more shine than satin black. Its like the undercoat rubber black color.
The clamps I think are natural and bolt and nut is zinc plated. Correct me if I am wrong on the clamp and nut.
There were some posts about this tie rod about a year ago.

The steering linkage was coated as an assembly at Chevrolet-Buffalo where it was manufactured. The material used was similar, if not identical, to the asphaltic coating used on frames. Tie rod end ball studs and perhaps other parts not to be coated were covered with cardboard tubes.
