67 Splash Shields and Brake Calipers

    Couple of questions:

    1. Are the 67 splash shields the same for the front and back? If not, are they reproducing rear sets? I've got a pair of the repro fronts, but am not sure of the rear splash shields.

    2. All brake calipers are gloss black except on machined surfaces, correct.

    Thanks.

Kirk..Front and Rear are not the same, Paragon has them. Gloss black is correct with some dabs of blue and white paint..Bill

Thanks Bill, where do the dabs go in general? Grew up with a Bill Cilles. Are you originally from Ohio?

        Bill and Kirk------

I don't think that gloss black is correct for the calipers. When painted, the calipers were a VERY low gloss black, nearly flat black. I have numerous NOS caliper halves and every one is very low gloss black. Also, what's left of the paint I have seen on original on-car calipers (those that appear to have been originally painted) look to me like very low gloss black.

Kirk..Yes I am from Ohio. Do a search on (brake caliper paint) the second item by Barry Jones his pic is to my knowledge correct. The rear on my car is blue white blue on the inside and outside of the caliper. The front is only blue on the inside and outside of the caliper. I'm sure Joe L. is correct that the caliper is a low gloss..Bill
