63 muffler black out ???

I am coming to a point in my chassis resto. Do I black out the mufflers and or pipes, maybe a few of the 63/64 chassis judges can fill me in on what you expect to see. Thanks Ed

I hope the 63 experts will chime in for you, but everything I have ever read says, the only thing on a 63 chassis not covered in black was the guy with the paint gun! Gary

I am not a expert, but I am the original owner of a 1963 SWC. My car did not have Blacked out Mufflers.

Ditto for my original 63 convert, July build. On third system now and they are aluminized pipes/mufflers. Based on my recollections from 63, I left them that way.

We've gone down this road before, but I still recall crawling under my car to check a failed starter and did not get any black out on me - of course, this was after driving it from WI to NM after delivery.
