bottom one is black but the top one is orange.

The upper generator brace (the long one that goes through the slot in the motormount bracket) is semi-gloss black; it was re-allocated from engine plant-installed to St. Louis-installed in mid-1955 due to engine rack shipping damage.

Odd, I thought mine still had it's original red paint, matches all the other original red Facts don't lie though I guess.
