      Looking forward to seeing it!
I spoke with Michael Brown, the producer, and he's talking about making DVD's as well. He's looking into many different areas to make sure the documentary is out there. He filmed, produced and funded the documentary, so he has full rights to it - meaning it's totally his call. He's a wonderful person and has a true passion for Corvettes, people and life in general. He's been wonderful to work with and we've become very good friends through this effort.

      Life is good!

Lance, I am certain you have told him, there is alot of enthusiasm and desire to see it on DVD. I really hope it happens. Possibly presale would help support DVD's.

Thank you for making it all happen so it could be filmed.

          Steve-

Yes, indeed he's aware. I share plenty of emails and phone conversations with him that I receive regarding the documentary.

No need to thank me, I was honored to be able to live out my father's dream!

          Cheers,

Re: "The Quest" Documentary World Premiere - 50 Year Anniversary for Le Mans - May 6!

Hello to everyone involved with NCRS. Thought I'd 'weigh in' and say thanks for the many nice comments about the efforts Lance and I have undergone to tell a tremendous story...that is at once both a great history of
an important chapter in Corvette racing and restoration history, but at the same time, a truly remarkable story of a man with a lifetime dream...a dream that was cut short...and a loving son who stepped forward to do the right thing.

I realize that at this point, none of you has seen the movie and know little about it except what you've seen in the trailers. I hope we can change that one day soon! In the meantime, and again with my thanks for your interest:

Here are some facts about the film you might like to know:

- 'THE QUEST' is an original feature-length movie at approximately 84 minutes. It has an enormous amount of production value built in.

- The story was shot in Europe/France and in a dozen U.S. states, coast to coast, by my crew and me.

- It has a great deal of visual support material, historical film, photographs and graphics/animation along with interviews
of key players in the story's 50 year story that have never been seen before.

- While the core story is about Chip Miller's 'quest' to find, acquire and restore the historic #3 Cunningham car and
return it to France for the 50th anniversary of its class win, it is also Lance's story...to pick up the dream of his Dad's
that was cut short when Chip died from amyloidosis. Lance had a 'quest' of his own.

- Back stories include the history of the 1960 LeMans race, the first-ever entry of 4 American-made Corvettes, their
owners and drivers.

            - Further, it is the story of what happened to these 4 automobiles after the 1960 LeMans race and the re-creation of
their ownership history and the whole restoration movement which came to life in the 1980s. Enthusiasts finally
realized the historical significance of these cars...and the importance of preserving their history.

'The Quest', we believe, is the most comprehensive treatment of this unique chapter of Corvette racing and Corvette history, that has ever been done.

It is also a heart-warming story of triumph over adversity.

We would love to see many of you at the Premiere on May 6th...to enjoy the movie and help the work of the Chip Miller Charitable Foundation and its mission to fight amyloidosis, the rare disease that claimed Chip Miller's life seven years ago.

            Thanks again...

This past weekend was the RIVERSIDE RACEWAY "LEGENDS OF RIVERSIDE III" event, and I was pleased to present the seminar on CORVETTE RACING AT RIVERSIDE 1957-89.

The "Quest" was described in great detail to the audience of over 250, and there was great interest in a WEST COAST Premier showing of your great movie.

Corvette Racers DICK GULDSTRAND, JIM JEFFORDS, TONY SETTEMBER, DOUG HOOPER, JERRY GRANT, DAVEY JORDAN, BOB WINGATE, SCOOTER PATRICK, SHERRY MACDONALD, ANDY SALVAGGIO AND BOB DRENNAN were all present and wanted information about your show and when to see it out west. So Lance, put on your thinking cap for a Hollywood debut.

Bruce Meyer, owner of Cunningham #2, was also present. He might have some ideas.

Riverside Raceway Museum filmed the event all weekend and said they would have DVD copies soon.

My thinking cap is stapped on Jim! Thanks for helping us spread the word about the documentary. Michael and I have discussed a few various options regarding the future of the film, I'm sure we'll have plenty of conversations moving forward. I hope to see you soon!

                        Lance,

                        My "two cents".

Here's my vote for any further availability of the movie (DVD, etc.) still including a portion of the proceeds going to the Chip Miller Foundation. Sounds like there's plenty of interest to take care of making sure Mr. Brown does well for his extraordinary efforts, but the continued work of the Foundation may someday lead to treatments and cures for people who have never seen or heard of a Corvette. I can't be at Carlisle in May, but would readily attend another showing or buy a DVD knowing a piece was going to further research.
