1966 water pump

I've contacted Chevy Cool and Bill Mock for the water pump I need and there is a substantial price difference for what appears to be the same pump and date.
Does anyone have input on either company or why the difference?

Bob.. I bought my 326 pump from Chevy Cool. I have had it for 1 and a half years no problems. I don't know about the price difference..Bill

Bill,
You did not indicate which one was substantially different and to different people, $20 is a lot so some might not want to guess at this, but I know Bill and he knows his Corvette's meaning you should be getting a proper date and a properly restored pump which you might not always get everywhere that rebuilds these.

As always it is upon the buyer to be sure of what he wants, if it is big block or small block the date on the pump just might make a difference, but you probably want it - casting date - no more that 3 months before the engine asy date. SB might have tighter dates, and I recall that the 1st 66 BB I had, a Dec build, had 'all' the engine cast components within three weeks of December.

It's the 608 pump and a $120.00 price difference.
