    is there a cleaner that will clean this back to almost new?

      Carb cleaner is all I use. 49 year old carbs lose a little of their original color.

          If you want to restore the carb back to its original plated finish you're going to have to send it out for a professional restoration. No spray will bring the finish back. I suggest Eric Jackson @ www.vintagemusclecarparts.com
