I currently have the white wall Goodyear Regatta 2 tires. I am looking for a quality tire that will not have points deducted yet have modern technology? Does this tire exist? Also, what is the recommended tire pressure to use as well?
What are the best tires for my 1965 Coupe?

In a word, NO. There is absolutely NO tire available that will give you a zero points deduct AND at the same time be a modern technology tire. The two attributes you want are, essentially, mutually exclusive.
You can purchase reproductions of the original tires. Some of these will provide full points or, at least, very near full points. However, they will be bias ply, 50 year old technology, slightly improved with modern rubber formulations.
The VAST majority of modern day tires available in a size that will fit your original wheels and unmodified body will be "S" speed rated tires. This is a "run-of-the-mill" speed rating basically designed for "grocery getters". However, they'll be ok for most street use.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Dean,
One thing to consider is to have a set of tires for your driving needs with today's technology, and then if you desire to go the judging route, have a set of reproduction tires on original wheels available. A friend of mine has his "driver" tires mounted on mag wheels for local car shows and cruise nights, but he's serious about flighting his '65 fuelie and has a set of original bias plys on original knock-offs.
I just purchased a set of 5 Pirelli Super Touring 215/70ZR15's for a '67. There have been several threads lately on the subject. All around consensus is that it's one of the best choices. I hope so.This car won't be judged.
