62 black painted items question?
I have been reviewing the archives, as well as the judging manual and have found conflicting (or not enough) information so I am trying to verify the following since I am still uncertain:
1. Rear Axle- Are the U-bolts and nuts painted completely black or unpainted?
2. I know that the rear axle assembly is semi-gloss black, but are the brake backing plates, as well as the front brake backing plates also semi gloss black?
3. The JM indicates that the brake lines are unpainted, however, is there any paint on the front lines from the black-out process, including the wheel area blackout step (or were they install after)?
4. On the tie-rod tubes, are they completely black or partially covered from the blackout process?
6. Are the end caps. and grease fittings on the Front suspension upper/lower/inner/outer pivot shafts blacked out or unpainted?
7. Are the bolts that attach the leaf springs in the front, and to the rear shackle painted, or unfinished?
