Has any research been done on this?

I'm talking about 1967's with 427/400, automatic transmission, and air conditioning. I have one (in my avatar), and it's supposed to be 1 of 16. [Disclaimer: I'm not trying to brag about my car, nor open up a dispute about how rare it may be.] So far I've found the following:

    107383 (mine)
Sunfire Yellow, black vinyl interior, both tops, PS, PB, PW, Speedminder, AM/FM, tinted glass.

    1051
Red roadster, side pipes, bolt-ons, PS, PW, tinted glass, headrests. (Equipment unverified)

    10435
Red roadster, white interior, both tops, tinted glass, PS, AM/FM. (Equipment unverified)

    104860
Lynndale Blue roadster, PS, side pipes, tinted glass, AM/FM. (Equipment unverified)

    Unknown serial
Red coupe, black leather interior, PS, PB, PW, tele, Speedminder, headrests. (Seen on corvettetraderonline, equipment unverified)

    104033
Maroon roadster, white interior, PS, PB, Speedminder, tinted glass, AM/FM. (Equipment unverified)

A member here, Kenneth Barry, said he used to own one. Serial? If you'd help, or point me to some existing research, it would be appreciated.

    Larry -

All we know for sure from Chevrolet production records (per the ECL summaries in Noland's book) is that there were 207 built with Powerglide and the L-68 engine, based on the Powerglide ECL's. There were 138 convertibles built with air conditioning, Powerglide and the L-36 engine per the air conditioning ECL's, but there's no breakdown for how many of those 138 were straight L-36's vs. those with L-68, as both engines were grouped in the same ECL. That puts the number of convertibles with Powerglide and air conditioning and the L-68 engine at something less than 138; that's all we really know.

Overall, ignoring body styles, transmissions and A/C, there were 3,832 L-36's and 2,101 L-68's built.

Agreed. And I also agree that my "1 of 16" built figure is an extrapolation of the production figures based on other equipment, etc. Like I said, I'm not trying to claim that the "1 of 16" claim is true; I'm just trying to find out how many 1967 L-68's with auto and air have been accounted for. It's kinda funny; I have a Sunfire Yellow one, and I know of another Sunfire Yellow one (serial unknown). I didn't include it in my post because I can't find the link for it just now. Thanks!
