The topic came up at our local chapter meeting. At the regional in Old Town a friend was able to find original solid axle parts for sale that he hasn't seen available for years. According to my friend the "Resto-Mod" market has opened up tons of early and mid year parts to the right buyers. These resto guys don't seem to have any use or need for the original parts that they are removing to make the modifications. Also, I'm told the prices were very reasonable! Perhaps this is not something new to all but I found it quite interesting. Hopefully, it will spread further into the early 70"s models!

Your are right. I bought out a friend that has decided to get out of the hobby When I asked him where he get this stuff he said a lot of it came out of bone yards over the years but some of it came from guys that were rest-o-moding their cars. I got a bunch of C1, C2 & C3 stuff I haven't seen in years.

Local rod shop built a 54 resto-rod and didn't use the original seat frame and tracks. Guy said he knew they were worth a lot and wanted $200. Going rate is more like $1000.

One persons junk is another persons treasure.
Lots of parts out there due to the restomod trend and many at give-away prices.
