Does anyone have any good tips for installing new tie rods and ends?
I have rebuild and re-assembled the front end on my 1960 restoration project car. I have installed new third arm bearing and have re-installed the third arm.
I have new tie rods and ends that I am installing. I have the body off and only have the front brake back plates installed.
So I assume that the brake back plates should be straight ahead and parallel to each other. The third arm should be centered. If all is centered and parallel, will both tie rod assemblies be the same length?
Anyone got any good tips for getting everything lined up?
I know that once I get the car back together and driveable it will need alignment.
Thanks,
Don
