Figure 8 coil bracket screws

A question has come up. Are the two fine thread flat tip round head screws on the figure 8 coil bracket both the same length?

I have two different figure 8 brackets, and two different length screws in one of them.

I suspect that the screw that tightens the bracket around the distributor is longer than the screw that tightens the bracket around the coil.

Also, anybody know where this bracket shows up in the parts book (group number?), and what Chevrolet actually calls this bracket?

Ed, it's a "Support Assembly" found in P&A Group 2.183. AIM & P&A's only list the middle machine screw part # 424639 1/4-28 x 1". IIRC the outside screw is shorter? Maybe Dave Smith can check his Bowtie '57? Gary....

Gracias Gary, just what I needed to know. I "think" the outer screw is shorter as well, but can't confirm that.

Screws also have a captive external tooth washer attached.
