    capacitor on pedal console 1967

On my 1967 I took this pic of what looks like a capacitor with each end looking like it slips into a connector.

It didn't have marks on it that indicated it was ever connected.

I did have to rewind my amp guage once and I have a note written long ago by me to check the gas guage.

Any connection with either one, or where does it connect to, it looks as if it wires in series with something?

      Thanks Clem,
So it wires in series with the brake switch in the pic.

Clem is correct. each tab slides into each teminal on the brake light switch. It does not matter which goes where just that both are on a different terminal.

Thanks Rich, It sure looks like it fits that way.

At first I thought it was added by a radio shop for static but It was not where a radio guy would put it.

Then I saw the E mark on the screw and thought the factory had something to do with it.

I have a similar 65 Corvette stop light capacitor as shown in this recent thread. There is a drawing in your 67 Corvette assembly manual (UPC U69, sheet A4).

BTW, it is wired in parallel with the brake switch, not in series.
