I"m looking for Engine starting label, for 1972, which is a nylon cloth label
for the sunvisor. Also the engine suffix label ? and one T-3 two prong headlight. Any ideas?
    Thanks

    Re: Labels

I don't remember any source for the visor label... Methinks some have 'borrowed' theirs from an equivalent Chevy passenger car sitting in the scrap yard.

On the 3-digit engine suffix labels, that's come up SEVERAL times before and you'll find threads on it in the archives. Bottom line, NOBODY reproduces these for sale commercially...

Occassionally, you'll find a given part that's simply not available to those who simply want to make a phone call and write a check. These are usually minor items that the clever and the dedicated challenge themselves to hand-craft a solution for.

      Re: Labels

I know several people have worked on making the visor label. In fact, we looked at a sample somewhere a couple years ago. (Maybe Stan or Chuck remember the meet.) It was the best we had seen, but I don't know what has become of the effort.

A warning about getting one from another GM line: Some of them vary in size and have different part numbers.

Tom, Osborne reproductions make the label for the visor, I brought mine a few years ago for my 72.

Also, I Do not know if Patrick Hulst is still making the labels for the valve covers but he made mine and went through judging without a hitch. send him a PM.

Jack, The only application that I found in the junk yard was chevrolet pickups. I have quite a few that came off of them, however the problem is getting the label off of the donor visor in one piece to say nothing of getting it off in nice condition. I haven't succeeded in that endeavor. RS
