67 First Edition Owners Manual

Can someone tell me if the first edition owners manual is suppose to have the corvette news card in it ? The gentleman selling the one on e-bay with the complete document package for S/N 12557 says that the first edition one in that package shows no sign of ever having that card in it.

That would have been my guess as well but I have not seen that many to know for sure.

My first edition has the full card. I've had a couple of 1st editions and all had the card or the stub.

My first edition has the full card. I've had a couple of 1st editions and all had the card or the stub.

"All" original Corvette Owners manuals from 1959 until at least 1978 had Corvette News cards. Many (but not all) of the Helm, Inc. re-issue manuals had cards as well. The only reproduction Owners manual I have ever seen with a Corvette news card is a 1959. They were crudely done but had a card none the less.

My 1st edition manual has the stub remaining. I believe it to be original to the car as it has the original dealer(Lang Chevrolet) and salesman name Ink stamped on it. My car is a late Feb build......Paul....

YES, on the card. If there's no card, it's interesting but it's not what originally would have come with the car from the Factory.
