    60 questions

I am posting a couple of questions for a friend in our Chapter (1960). Where is the front hood seal attached and what is the orientation? The repro seal is somewhat "semi U" in shape. The new Al Knock trunk mat covers the lug wrench clip (driver's side) but fits correctly around the jack handle clip. Neither clip has been moved. Should he trim the mat, slot it, or ____? Thanks for your help. Don H.

Thanks for the picture Jerry but we are talking about the front seal. Don H.

There is only one seal on a 60 hood at the back of the hood shown on Jerry's picture .

Never heard of a front seal. I think the rear seal was to seal off engine heat/fumes from entering the cowl vent when opened.

There is a front seal; it seals between the hood and the top of the radiator. See page 72 of 1958 - 1960 Tech Manual & Judging Guide. The vendors sell them.

Thanks Joe, I thought there was but had to wait until I got home to look it up. It is very difficult to see when judging. Any other thoughts? Thanks, Don H.

                Hi Donald,
When I read the title of your thread I thought of the television show from the 50s called '20 Questions'. I thought perhaps you were running 3 episodes!
                Regards,
                Alan
