1969 Chrome Spark Plug Shield

I have a 69 350/350 and am collecting the chrome spark plug shields. I have a set that supposedly came off a 69. I also have quite a few pieces that I have accumulated. I am interested in comments on one of the shields. I assume that the shield that is not bright chrome and has the swage marks is original and the bright chrome and smooth is a newer piece. I would apprecite any comments from individuals with original cars. Thanks for any comments.

Steve, Generally the LH shields are stainless and RH are chromed steel. Thats why you see a shine difference.

The shield on the left looks like an original shield to me. The shield on the right is the same piece but I expect it's a later SERVICE piece, after the tooling began to wear out as evidenced by the "wrinkling".

By the way, this piece was used for the left front position for only 1968-E70 Corvette small blocks. It was not used for other applications or years.
