Small NCRS Logo Patch or Embroidery File?

My wife got me a nice Corvette jacket for Christmas with the C1 emblems embroidered on it. I'd like her to add the NCRS Logo onto it, and also to sew on the SACC patch I got at Kissimmee when I joined the Sunshine State SACC...... finally after 25 years of owning my '59 I felt it was about time to join.

I have the huge NCRS Logo Patch that came in my NCRS packet 23 years ago, but it's a bit too big for the jacket. It's about 7" wide. I looked on the NCRS store fruitlessly for a small embroidered NCRS Logo patch to buy but cannot find one.

My wife has a Husqvarna embroidery sewing machine(you could buy a nice project Corvette for what it cost!), and has done many nice embroideries for me like car towels, shirts, etc using GM licensed software files we bought on CD.

Can I acquire/buy the embroidery file for the NCRS Logo? Any format would work as she also has conversion software. This would be for personal use and not for resale of course. Pictured below(3rd pic gif from the store website) is what you can add to any apparel bought at the NCRS Store.

If the NCRS store doesn't sell a small sew-on patch, maybe adding the embroidery file for sale would be an idea. Who could I contact to help make this happen?

p.s. This Thread from Joe C. talks about using the logo on the belt buckle protectors.

I believe to do this you will need to digitize the logo. Possibly the NCRS will let you do this or a local emroidery shop can do it for you if it doesn't break any trademarks in place by NCRS.

I'm sure the office has this program. Perhaps you could contact the main office and see if you could send your jacket to the place that does the official gear for us and have it applied.

      Tom,

Having one here would be ideal as my wife could do it in no time on her machine, but your idea may be a alternative if I can't get it.

I still would like to see the store offer a small sew-on logo patch, same size as the window stickers.

The patches would be nice, but embroidery is the cool way to go !!

Hi Rich, I saw your old post after searching "NCRS jacket patch" and I also notice you are close to my NCRS number-13440.
I have my mailing envelope, welcome letter etc from when I joined back in 1988. If I remember right, included was a NCRS patch and window decal?
          Can you verify that please?
I recently came across an NCRS patch here at home that's about 6" wide. Would that have been what was included?
I thought I had a smaller patch but this is probably the one??
And the window decal...do you still have yours? Possible if so, to get a picture of it?
thanks and did anything ever work out on your original inquiry?
          regards,
          Dean #13440

            Hi Dean,

Yes the patch is about that size as seen in my old photo above and I still have it in my envelope from 29 years ago. The NCRS decal went right on my '59 and is still there today. It's the exact same one you can buy from the NCRS store today. I bought a few of them 2 years ago for some friend's car and identical. Sorry no photo handy as my '59 is up high on my 4-post lift all covered up.

I forget what I did then about the embroidery file but IIRC I called but I didn't get a digital file.

Re: Small NCRS Logo Patch or Embroidery File?

Good morning and thanks for the quick response!
So the patch I came across must be my original-good to know.
Shows how memory fades a bit with age...
I had thought the one that came with the welcome envelope was smaller-maybe 3" or so wide.
Then again I had no recollection of where that 6" wide patch would have come from had my recollection been correct!?!
My decal was on my long gone '67 and I thought there was a difference in that one and the current ones offered?
It seems to me the old decal had rounded edges and the new one has squared edges?
But maybe that's another example of faded memory?

              Thanks again, Rich.

                Richard,

I think it would be advisable to contact the proper people at the NCRS before anyone uses the NCRS logo without permission from the NCRS legal department.
                Just a word of warning!

                  Dean,

It (the differences in the NCRS decals) is not just your faded memory. There are at least 3 or 4 different decal versions. The differences are not just the corner style, but also in the flag pole. It is probably a little beyond the pale for us to get so OCD about the NCRS decal, but I thought you might want to know there is nothing wrong with your memory in that respect.

My original NCRS decal went to an automotive recycling depot with my 1972 Concours Estate station wagon in the early 1990s.

JR, Thanks for that but maybe that's why I never pursued the embroidery stuff.

Terry & Dean, Okay so I had to climb up on the table to get a shot of my original decal.....Right you are, rounded edges.

Re: Small NCRS Logo Patch or Embroidery File?

Richard: I like that you don't sit still, and can still get up on a table.

I wonder about that garage door. It does look tall enough, which we like. The upper panel looks to be sitting at an angle. Is there a reason why that "extra" panel is there? Perhaps for better leverage when the opener pulls on it?

Thanks - Keep the postings coming.

Tom, All I was thinking when climbing on that table(BTW it has 4 wheels on it and rolls easily), was what if I did something really stupid and fell off of it trying to take a photo of a silly decal. Thankfully I didn't fall down and break something. But it was worth it cuz I learned something new from Terry yesterday.

That door is actually open a little bit. Look behind the C6 at the floor and you can see daylight. Must've tricked your eyes.

I do not have any images, but given enough time I could do something with my NCRS decal collection. No promises, however. As I said, I do think recording that is a little over the top, even for us OCD types.
