Re: 15x8
Stephen,
Thanks for clarifying, I was disappointed that I ticked off someone on my second day on the forum...witout even trying!
What I'm wanting to accomplish is to have a set of aftermarket wheels to have a more vintage rod look to cruise with and another set of repop knock off's to put on for show purposes.
Thanks to this forum I believe I'm armed with the right information to make the right buy without harming my car. Thanks again for reaching out, hopefully we'll cross paths again my friend.
Best Regards,

Welcome aboard and never hesitate to ask a question on this forum. The people that visit this forum have probable done everything you can do to a Corvette. I've owned Corvettes since I was 19 and I'm now 64 and still learning.

Re: 15x8
I seem to remember having to grind the inner lip of the rear quarter panels but you'd never notice it unless you ran your finger up there. Maybe the fronts would touch the frame in a sharp turn, but if so, it didn't bother me.- Top

Re: 15x8
Just a FYI I used this calculator to decide the best fit tire for the '67 using stock rally wheels. Also best to keep in mind what will fit in the spare tire tub too.
e.g. I entered the below list into the box. It gives a comparison chart of the specs to help decide best fit and function matching(speedo, etc).
205/75R15
215/75R15
205/70R15
215/70R15
205/65R15
215/65R15
In my case the choice was 215/70R15. As was mentioned, it's the biggest you can use before you get into clearance issues.

p.s. Now to decide which tire brand!- Top

Re: 15x8
Rich,
What is the intended usage, driving or judging? I hear for driving the Pirelli P4000 is about the best you can do. Here's a recent thread on them:

JoeI was subscribed to that thread, but the time frame won't allow extra delays to wait for the Pirelli's.
Thanks,
