Installing Sunvisors on a 59
Years ago I bought a pair of Sunvisors for my '59, which did not have sunvisors as a factory option. An article in the Spring 2009 Restorer desribes where to drill holes to properly locate the sunvisors in a stock position and the article also suggests using sheet metal screws to secure the visors. I have read the posts here that decribe how the factory used threaded supports behind the sunvisor holes to accept machine screws , and that it is a major job to take apart the windshield to add the supports. I have my concerns on using sheet metal screws as I suspect that they would loosen up over time, yet I am not yet ready take apart the windshild frame to add the support.
Has anyone installed installed sunvisors on a car that did not come with them originally , and have any advice on the installation. The car is a driver and sunvisors would really help.
