    C1 Starter finish

What is the correct finish for the 1107664 C1 starter?

The TIM &JG says "starter assemblies are painted semi-flat black". I know the body of the started is painted, but is the nose supposed to be painted or natural metal? How about the rear end frame, painted or zinc plated?

    Thanks,
    Don Harris

I did search the forum and archive. I must be using the wrong search parameters. I have searched for "Starter Finish" and "Starter Paint", and similar combination. I got lots of info on C2 and C3 starters with pictures of finishing. But I did not get anything specific to C1.

The starter was painted as an assembled unit. The entire starter body should be semi-flat black. The solenoid could be black as silver zinc.
