61 rear crossmember

Is the rear crossmember on the solid axle cars welded to the frame rails at the forward point of contact or is it held in place only by the rivets at the rear edge?

Crossmember that the leaf springs and rear body mount to.

Just checked the 61 FI project frame and it is welded on the forward edge where it contacts the frame. I took a couple of pictures, but I lost your email address when I up-graded to windows 7. Send it to me and I will send you the pictures.
