There's a '64 silver couple at Nelson Auto in Marysville OH that looks interesting, but there are very few photos. Here's a link to the ad;

No.............. But it does APPEAR to be a non original engine.......there I go sticking my neck out again! But the "breathing" oil filler cap bothers me as does the fact that the oil fill tube looks not to have a pcv on it. Not many pictures to judge from and I know I'm not addressing the question. My apologies for drifting.........

depends how soon you need someone to look at it for you. it would be early next week. i live about an hour or so from there. i'd be happy to look at it for you and talk to you over the phone as i'm looking at it. i am no expert but could look at paint codes,VIN,engine codes, body dimple on cowl,etc... send me a PM with your phone # and i will do the same if you are interested.

Thanks for the kind offer, Matt, but that won't be necessary. Yesterday I bought a '67 coupe from an elderly gentleman in Scottsdale that appears to be an original numbers matching, with factory A/C, PS, PB, leather, less than 60K miles and years of documentation and even the owner's manual in the glove box. As always, there's a down side, and that is a color change from Tuxedo Black to Goodwood Green, which I think I can live with for a while. A higher price tag was another negative, but hopefully it'll be well worth it.

that sounds like a better car. especially with all that history and paperwork! i am a true believer in the history of the car is just as important as the car. good luck on your new vette. please post some pics. i'm sure everyone would love to see it.

Very nice '67 coupe with factory A/C, PS, PB, with years of docs, doesn't look as though you went wrong on this one, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. As far as the '64 you were asking about, I seen it at the Auburn, Indiana auction this pass Labor Day, and the car is very nice. I was unable to take a look at the engine for that the car was sold, and locked up. I'm sure this dealer was the one that had bought the car at the time.
