Could someone please describe the differences between the first design
# 1102173 and second design #1102268 generator?

Can I assume that the only exterior differences/identifiers would be the Delco tag with the part number?

Per the drawings the older generator has a .4" thick front mount support while the newer one changed to .5" early on. But I bet nobody is measuring that!
