Help, what is the correct casting number and manufacturer for early 1966 aluminum valve covers. I'm looking for a pair.

Hi, the part number is 3767493. You can find them on ebay pretty regularly. I just did a search, and found a few pairs, but prices seemed a little high to me.

3767493 with "Lester" on the inside originals have a faint casting flaw through the letter O somewhere in 66 through 67

Thanks guys, mine is pre March 1966. Before the casting flaw. That's making it a little harder to find. But I was not sure of the casting number and manufacturer. Much appreciated!

W Patrick, If I were you I would pass on buying valve covers armed only with a photo. Personally I have never been able to buy a mint pair of valve covers that way. The 60 to mid 66 valve covers that are in prestine condition are very hard to find. Typically a guy ends up buying two pairs just to get one decent pair. JD

When I've purchased alum. valve covers I like to set them on a hard surface to see if the sit flat before I buy them. If they "rock" back and forth I pass on them.
