    C1 water temp gauge range

What was the application for the 240 degree gauge? I can't seem to find anything in my reference material here that says what cars used the 220 and what ones had the 240, including the instrument section of the TIMJG

    Thanks,

    Tom

I believe the 240 gauge didn't come into use until the late 61 and early 62 model year, at least according to the 61-61 Judging Guide.

      Terry,

Thanks for the input. I'll have to dig into the 61-62 chapters of Nolands book and see if it calls out a change over there. I looked at the 1960 section and it had the 220 as does my car.

Terry's right on. 62 #2266 has 220, 2628 has 240. There are earlier 62's with 240--don't have my notes with me, but I think I've found an early 3000 car with 220. It was a phasing in, VERY late 61 and into the first several months of 62.
