        I second that.

NO rain. Beautiful "fall like" weather with high temps in the mid to high 60's in the afternoons on Thurs., Fri., and Sat..

Remember, they advertise it as "Sunny Florida", not necessarily "Warm Florida".

          Jeff;

Nice pictures. Thanks. I see in post #12 you caught my son's 2008 Pace Car and my 63 next to his in the Corvettes Only parking lot on Saturday.

Special thanks to all the attendees at the Banquet. Ed Augustine told me yesterday that you offered up a period of silence and prayer for those who we lost this past year, including Tom Stanton. I emailed his widow Denise to tell her of this in case she hadn't heard. We miss seeing them both at our events, and chatting with Tom here on the TDB.

Also nice to see some old friends including Don Lowe who was down here for the first time with his lovely wife. They stuck around to attend the follow on show Sunday put on by the Classic Corvettes of Orlando. That too was a success on behalf of the charity "ALS". Sunday was in the mid 70's, but I'm sure the cooler weather of Wednesday through Saturday was welcomed, specially by those who had to do physical labor.

does anyone know the owner of this car? (the coupe in post #12)

                  Tim:

I spoke with the owner of the silver blue coupe, but his name slips my mind. He did say he has been on the discussion board a number of times and got lots of help. He had told me about his car, that it was the one with radial tires. I looked for him afterwards to tell him he might want to correct his windshield wiper positioning, but never saw him after his car was judged. He was happy as he did get Top Flight, and was off to see his family at the hotel. He knew of me from the board and stopped to say hello and look at my 63.

If I think of or run across his name, I will email you. I do recall he had an Italian surname, and his first name may have been Mike.

It was a great meet and the swap meet was very good with a lot of good parts. I was able to find quite a few parts that I needed and picked up some good information also. On Saturday I judged two 62 and thought of you and how you would like to have seen them also. You just need to make the effort and go to this meet for it is not that hard of a drive there or fly like some of our members from QCNCRS did. I took some pictures and will try to get them in the computer soon so I can e-mail them to you.

Hey, easy Stu! Who you call'n old?

Was great to see you again. Also enjoyed spending time with many others that I ran into and met for the first time there. Roberta and I had a GREAT time!!! Wonderful people, great cars and fantastic weather! As a matter of fact, we were wondering who was left minding Michigan, because it seemed our entire chapter was in Orlando. Something perhaps about the contrast in weather???

It appears to me that cars are the BIG DEAL in Old Town. I swear the regulars there have 30W oil in their blood. It's AWESOME and I'm jealous!

Anyway, thanks to all that hosted and participated in this meet. As Stu points out, it was our first time there, but hopefully far from the last.

                        Hi Tim and Stu,
That is my SWC in Post #12. I know about the wiper issue, and a few others thanks to great judges. Car did better than expected and it was fun to drive there and back. Stu - it was good to meet you in person after reading many of your posts. I look forward to seeing you next year.

The meet went really well - a job well done by all.

Thanks for posting Al. Sorry I lost track of your name - old age I guess. Yes indeed, it was a pleasure to meet you and talk shop so to speak. Sorry we missed seeing you later perhaps with your family. I promise I'll remember your name next time. You have a great SWC there.

Judging School Friday. The unrestored 56 was my favorite.
