My 1965 A.O smith built body corvette has a letter B by the interior code 450 (450B)what does this mean? I understand that the AO smith build cars in 64 and 65 only show the first letter of the Exception Control code. Is there anyway to determine what this means? I have the trim tag book but doesnt say.

Re: AO Smith built corvette Excemption Codes
The Technical Information Manual and Judging Guide states "All St. Louis built body interior trim codes contain a two-letter suffix. If the first letter is an "A" it indicates a coupe model and if the first letter is a "B" it indicates a convertible model. Example 450 AJ. A.O. Smith built bodies typically contain a single letter suffix or on a rare occasion none at all. Example:414A."
Is yours a convertible?

Yes it is a A.0 smith built convertible? So the 450B means nothing more than white and blue vinyl in a convertible?Last edited by Matthew L.; January 29, 2011, 04:15 PM.- Top
