C3 Gas Tank Strap

Hello All,

I am in the process of installing my new gas tank in my C3 and I am not sure if the straps pass thru or under the frame cross member tank support.
This is the support that has the slot. The hook end will go on either way but it looks as if it would be short if I went under the support the up and over the tank. I have new stainless straps and dont want to bend them in the wrong area if I need to go thru the slot on the support then up and over the tank. My AIM just does not give a good picture of this.
