'88 coupe L98 auto....

Hello I am the proud owner of an 88 L98 all original coupe with 22,000 miles on the clock...I'm hoping to top-flight my car. My question albeit a bit broad...are there any inherent problems I should be on the lookout for to keep my car in good running condition? I've owned it for 1 yr.

Jeff, the best thing you can do is drive the car and "use" the systems...i.e. a/c, cruise, windows, door locks, blinkers, flashers seats ect. These cars have a lot of things that need to be excercised, sitting with no use, things get sticky.
Keep the gas fresh, either use a "stabil" type of product or drive the tank out and keep it full.

Get a battery cut off switch and use it, the alternator is attached to a hot part of the engine, there is a "heat sink" directly bolted from it to the manifold, so it needs to just keep the car operating and not constantly recharge the battery.

I have 2 C4's an 87 and an 89 both less than 20k miles. They are very reliable, you just have to remember you have a 20 plus year old car and it needs attention even with the low mileage
