    71 Rear Lid Hinge Removal

Two questions here, first I am going to remove one of the rear lid hinge assemblies on my 71 convertible. I there any special way to remove them, the top screw/bolt looks very ackward to get a wrench on to remove. Any suggestions on this?

Second question, were the hinge assemblies on the body when it was painted or attached afterwards?

    Thanks
    Sheldon

Sheldon, To answer your first question, I fully understand what your talking about. I could not find a wrench anywhere that would do the job. I finally drilled a hole in the rear fiberglass reinforcement panel and used a ratchet and extension. AL

The hinges were on the car when it was painted. I also drilled a hole in the fiberglass.
