'58 Generator Connections
I recently removed the generator off my 58 and noticed that the Blue wire was connected to the armature while the browwn wire was connected to field, never messed with this before. Checked the connection on the regulator and they seem to be in the correct order as per the factory wiring diagram. So it seems like the generator was connected with reversed wires? Charging was an issue from time to time and had charge the battery often. To switch back to the correct order (as per the factory drawing) having the blue connected to Field, Do I need to do something special like polarizing the generator?or the regulator or both?
