70 louvers casting repair?

My side louver are pretty decent but for the drivers side. The leading edge that is painted is a little rough and missing some metal.

Is there a do it at home repair since this portion is painted.

Could I use something like JB Weld or even Por 15 putty and then sand to correct contour.

I am asking since it is pot metal otherwise I would just use a little filler and then sand. It really is a pretty small spot but can be seen and annoys me every time I get in the car.

Bill, I am thinking JB weld works very good and is sandable.

The welding look very very interesting.

Mine is a pretty minor repair so I will try the JB Weld. Worst case I, I just start over.
