1974 corvette rear view mirror map light

I am trying to get a diagram or picture of inside of 1974 Corvette rear vierw mirror map light

Reason; my bulb and the holder the bulb goes in are togethor with new bulb bbut are rolliung around inside the mirror

I think that something is wrong and need to know how the copper bulb holder attachs to the rest of stuff inside to activate the power to the bulb


ALSO: the map light slider swich > WHICH WAY IS ON AND WHICH WAY IS OFF

Hi Bill,
Was able to look at mine this morning. The switch should be to far right with lens tip towards the center of the mirror. sliding the switch towrds the center is on. The clip inside should come into contact with the wire on the top side of the mirror to complete the circuit as it slides from right to left (center).
Sorry I could not get clear enough pix today with my phone for you. Maybe someone else on this board has some filed already that could share.
If you have a 2010 Paragon catalogue, look at page 148 for how the mirror should look. Unfortunately I could not find diagrams as to the inside parts.
